if you element block the bar you won't be able to accurately and reliably be notified of the number of unread PMs in your inbox. keep that in mind.

Yea, I'm doing it anyways. You can still check you PMs from your profile, but you just don't know if you have one or not.

These type of layouts have been industry tested as a whole. If GMail and Facebook use this layout, and they spend tons of money doing usability testing for every layout change they make, they have this layout because it makes users more efficient.

This guys picture won't load, it gives me an error.

edit: when I try to load it by directly accessing it I get this message: "The image “http://media.247sports.com/Uploads/Boards/249/24249/300853.png” cannot be displayed because it contains errors."

Also add that I made a post in another thread and I don't receive an orange head notifying me that I have.

Yet a couple more issues to add to the pile.
