Sure there's lots of reasons why this team is maddening. The lack of PG, the youth, no consistent shooters (except Aaronhalt, but he's just a role player), underachieving bigs, turnovers... whatever. But WHY in the heck when we start getting burned by teams bombing 3's, like VA did to us, like Carolina did to us tonight.... WHY don't we EVER play ZONE!!????

Not trying to compare Turge to GW but Gary had that 3-2 zone putting a long wing at the top of the key and it always changed the tone. My friend pointed out to me how he used that so effectively against Kansas the year we won it all. C'mon man!! Everybody knows you can change the momentum of a team that is scoring and that you can stop 3 point shooters by playing a little zone.

Gotta say it's irritating to keep hearing 'we didn't defend' when we aren't using the whole arsenal of defenses available. Why Turge? Why do you NEVER use a zone D???
