  • I chalk it up to the current situation.

    Because of the circumstances the premium board is growing rapidly = more activity = more posts = increase in dumber posts or threads started. It comes with the territory.

    I suspect once the freshness of the Turge hire wears off over the summer things will be back to normal.

    Get used to the Gestapo at this board. There is a handful who feel the need to judge and critique the merit of every post. Good that they are so special, not sure what we would do without them. Nevertheless, they are a true barometer of where we stand in this land of free speech. You can pay your premium like them, but your rights stop there apparently - bend to their mighty will or they will ridicule you mercilessly. Certainly any info regarding a person should be pinned to a post 7 or 8 pages long with such other valid non-repititive things like "so and so promised be so and so" or "another random t----", which is highly valuable evaluations in their own right. This way it can be surrounded by such intellectual triumphs. Someone deserves some gold stars to be true!

    I know it's difficult to explain or defend but it is annoying when people start worthless or redundant threads on premium. Some posters do it a lot. I can't explain why it irritates me so, if you must, please continue.

    if the thread doesn't get me interested right away I get out. What about posters that are posting that don't add any info to the discussion (seems like they are commenting just to add to post count) and then u end up reading 7 pages thinking there will be some substance in it? now that gets me annoyed. shinyman, I do read yours, not talking about u!! I thought Friar had a good comment. I thought it was an interesting fact. could it have gone in a thread already started. sure, but for some posters to blast him on only his 2nd post. I've never seen any "protocol standards" that he should have known about.

  • Hard to believe that such a terrible original post has led to this great thread. I do feel bad for the OP though, but that was a HOF bad first post. The real crime here though is that people are upvoting him. Why? It might make him think that this type of behavior is okay.

    The current page has 31 new threads started by "non writers"... Page 10 (30 days ago) had 27. I'll give you the oportunity to revise your statement based on the facts.........

    I don't think this should have it's own thread but I'm not the arbiter of unwritten non-rules. To me this is like leaving your cereal bowl in the sink, it doesn't bother me unless it's chronic. Obviously not chronic for someone with two posts. It is chronic for say... Dankdoug or whatever his screen name is now but as I said I can't even explain why it bothers me.
