We're worse without Stoglin--much worse. People don't understand this. Stoglin would pass last year and Pankey and Padge would fumble it, or somebody else would miss an open shot. More likely, no one would take a shot and they'd get Stoglin the ball back with a few seconds on the shot clock. He'd toss it up. I'm tired of hearing the "addition-by-subtraction" argument here and elsewhere. We lost our best player. Kentucky will indeed be young, but will have higher-instinct-impact recruits. I'll be VERY surprised if we win.

I doubt Cassell will start over Allen. Kids a baller.

Noboby said Stogs wouldn't be missed but there's a thing called chemistry that has a major affect on team. Due to experience and pedigree Sam will be ready to take the PG spot. You gotta know SCSr will have him working hard this summer and prepared coming in. I also see the B-more duo of Cassell/Faust working out together all summer long. Pe was used there not on potential but out of necessity and he was coachable.

You maybe right but Padge "the pump fake king" is generally ineffective against teams with shot blockers(Noel) which will limit his minutes. Padge is somewhat more effective against undersized teams. I suggest we take full advantage of our size. Starting Len and Cleare could have our friend Noel in early foul trouble impacting Kentucky's effectiveness without him.

Have you actually seen any of their freshman play?

For all the talk about MD having to rely on freshman, they still have the two best returning players in Faust/Len. And this UK team doesn't have an Anthony Davis or beast sophs like Jones/Lamb.
