Two really sad things about Hess. First, he was the best official on the floor today by a mile. Second, he's an awful official and has no business doing D1 games.

Didn't he do the Duke game last night? How does the conference justify an official doing a game in North Carolina that ends around 9:15 and then turn around and do a game in Maryland the next day at 2? And when the ball hit him all I could do was laugh.

They don't have to justify it because nobody calls them out about it. Also, even if they did need to justify it, they clearly don't give a crap about officiating.

While painful, it is far too quick an ending for a turd like Hess.
Hess => 54 seconds and out against Duke in Cole!
The problem here is the buffoon running the conference.

whole problem here is CloggedArteries the head of ACC officials -- he was an egomaniac when he reffed and he is propping up a bunch of guys who are just the same.

THIS. The two black refs, especially the bald one, CONSTANTLY would call fouls against us almost every time a VA player drove the lane. EVERY TIME

One of the bald black guys called 3 second half fouls after Mike Scott missed shots. Like, he realized he'd miss the shot and blow the whistle that late each time. Just bad.

Sean Hull is consistently bad. If I recall correctly, he did our home against UNC too.
