    Oh yeah, Dugan was solid.

Either way, I still view that team as being a case study in innovative offense rather than great recruiting.

The playcalling was innovative and that was a big part of its success, but there was talent there. It is not an either or thing. They both contributed to that great offense.

For example imagine the same calling with the 2009 offense personnel. Just would not work.

Totally disagree, Ralph's first team had good talent that had underachieved previously. Gullian Gary was good at WR, Bruce Perry at RB was in the NFL for a few season, the offensive Lines were very good in the early years, I think in like 2002 we had four out of five starters that were first our second team All ACC. That first offensive line had some good players like Melvin Fowler who started for a long time in the NFL. He had a NFL QB in Shaun Hill and at 10 year NFL player at TE.

Right. Vandy practically begged to be allowed to stay one more year to coach that group. Ralph walked into a situation where he had good talent at most positions and some depth. He also hired great O and D coordinators until Yao ran them off.

I think one of the main gripes so far this season is that many believed that RE came into a similar situation - not as good, but hardly bad - at least decent and with a potential AA QB in hand. I looks like our opponents have already figured out Crowton's schemes and our D is not aggressive. Other than next week, the rest of our schedule is now very questionable unless our COACHES step up.
