Could you please stop putting Franklin on some false pedestal and continually referring to our head coach as a "Buffoon"?

That's not what happened at all.
Franklin got the Vandy job offer. Franklin asked KA if he was going to be guaranteed the job the following season. KA said that he would have to interview for it. Franklin quit and took the job at Vandy.
KA did the absolute right thing for the University and fans were thrilled that we got out of that terrible contract.
Franklin did the best thing for him. Who wouldn't take a guaranteed HC job in 2011 or a chance at one in 2012 (or $1 million)
There is no evidence that Locksley is recruiting players to UMD so there's no reason to block them from coming here.
Likewise there is no evidence that the former DC Don Brown has been recruiting players to UConn so we've allowed players to transfer there.
This is 100% about James Franklin having improper communications with a player in a program and our coach not allowing him to benefit from it.

Besides a rise and the extension, Friedgen also demanded the million we were saving in Franklin's voluntary departure
