70 Days - Time to put the miserable 2011 season behind us and get excited about what lies ahead for 2012. A successful season should continue the positive momentum on the recruiting trail, building a deep a talented roster for the years to come.
The freshman are rolling onto campus. With the depth again not quite where it needs to be, what true freshman do we see playing this season and what contributions do they make?
Diggs - 40 rec, 600 yds, 6 TD, PR 10 yd avg 1 TD
Brown - 75 carries 350 yds, 5 TD
Jacobs - 10 rec, 150 yds as slot receiver
K. Goins - 15 carries, 70 yds, 2 TD, lots of ST duty
Reid - 25 carries 130 yds, 20 rec 225, some KR duty
Logan - 50 tkl, 8 TFL, 3 sack, 1 int, ST duty
Dean - 25 tkl, 2 TFL, ST duty
Davis, Hill, or Nixon - 1 of the 3 gets some run at S and on ST
Hopefully we can get by on the OL w/o burning Madaras or Brigham redshirts

Brown will get way more than 75 touches this year. If he is not our starting RB Sept. 1, he will be by the time October rolls around. Unlike Ralph, Edsall has shown he will put the best players on the field regardless of experience. Brown should have little trouble showing he is far more talented than Pickett or Ross by mid August.

Possibly, but taking Lane and Anderson shows Locks is going to want an APB that can be involved in the passing game.
He could also prove to be the best guy on KO returns.

LOL. You are joking, right? D.J. Adams says hello. Our very best short yardage back could not get on the field last year, even in situations desperately calling for him. Edsall had some kind of attitude thing going with DJ and would not let him play.
The only thing amazing me at this point is that our new turf field won't have randyedsall.com prominently displayed. The guy oozes arrogance.

You just proved his point. Ralph would have played DJ based on seniority even though he couldn't follow team rules.
