Sad to hear this, he was always a fun guy to cheer for.
damn. RIP Earl
Such a terrible thing to hear.
Awful news. God bless him and his loved ones.
Maybe the most loved walk-on we've ever had. He'll be missed.
Someone just mentioned him in a thread today I think.
Oh man, that's terrible. RIP Earl.

wow. someone mentioned earl in one of the update threads joking that tahj's handle was actually earl and I caught myself mistakenly confusing him with the ex terp player who passed away coaching in annapolis and then to read this moments later. crazy. RIP earl.
WTF? what happened? Terrible news
Wow, terrible news. What happened? (Don't want to ask for speculation, but assume it wasn't natural causes given his age.)
Very sad. I remember him scoring very late in our '02 game against Virginia and then cheering against the rest of our team so that he would have the last points in Cole.
I mean yeah... he couldn't have been more than what... 33? Very, very sad.

I don't know if it's my place to say. But I don't believe it was natural causes.
I remember this. The crowd went nuts when he scored.
Wow, so sorry to hear that.
Sad sad news
My friends and I had a 'Thanks Earl' sign at the last game. We ended up on tv for a second or two. He had a nice move to score the basket. Andre Collins ended up with the last bucket in Cole though.
Terrible, terrible news. I bet GW is very bummed.
Geez. That sucks. Lots of Earl memories from my days in Garyland.
Wow - very sad indeed. My thoughts and proyers go out to his family.
While pledging my fraternity I needed to get a basketball player autograph so I got Earl to sign something for me. I may have been the first student to ever ask for his autograph because ever since that day he'd always go out of his way to come over and say hi when we'd run into one another at the dining hall or CRC etc. Earl was defintely a super nice guy and this is terrible news.
Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and former teammates (Tahj).
Man this is brutal. RIP Earl!
Wow. Heart dropped into my stomach when I read this. In the very limited interaction I had with him, he was always came across as a good guy...very congenial. RIP Earl. It's a sad, sad day for Terp fans.
