The likelihood of a significant snowfall occurring in the Washington, D.C. region Wednesday is increasing as a very dynamic storm moves in.
How much snow falls in the city and close surrounding areas is less certain and still depends on the storm track, intensity of the precipitation and the surface temperatures which are likely to be in the low-to-mid 30s during the storm.
Storm timing: Tuesday night to Wednesday night, March 5-7
Chance of 1” or more in D.C.: 70 percent
Chance of 5” or more in D.C.: 45 percent
Chance of 10” or more in D.C.: 10 percent
Gotta get that place packed with students, administration needs to let any of them in who want in.
I love it...why do I feel like every time we get UNC at home it snows?
There is a lacrosse game at 5 on Wednesday as well. Think I am going to have to make it a doubleheader!
A friend told me last week that the European model (whatever that is) that tracks storms is predicting a significant storm. This is what I found on the internets
Tar Heel: Maryland term for stepping in Duke
Duke: Maryland term for dog s@#$
Remember when Matt Doherty had UNC stay at the Watergate for some stupid reason during a snowstorm and they arrived at the arena 30 minutes before the game and got fucking waxed?
I came in from Boston for that game. It was a freaking blast.
Yes was at both games.
Win this game and we are back on the right side of the bubble...it's just as big as the Duke game.
Was at that game. Was probably Andre Collins' best game as a Terp
Fuck you. I've got business in DC this week.
It better be a snow game and they better let everyone in, because I forgot to claim my ticket
We literally don't lose in the snow. It was even snowing in Chapel Hill when we beat UNC in 2008.

Fuck if I know what THUNDERSNOW is, but I want all of it.
Me too. I've been fucked by the weather so many times when I've had tickets. Last time was the BC football game when we had a foot of snow here in NJ.
A friend who is a meteorologist claims this is the best site for weather.
The inside scoop on D.C., Maryland and Virginia weather and beyond from PostWeather
The proof is not in the pudding, The proof of the pudding is in the tasting.
That site stole my post verbatim!
If OT comes to the game, the chance of 10" or more would be 100%.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Would have been smarter for them to just turn around.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
BTW, if anyone wants to give me their lower level center section seats, I will gladly fill them for you!
Can UNC bring that 2003 team on Wednesday?
The drive to the 2010 game with OT and Aschaefe(or was it someone else?) was a journey but totally worth it.
"The drummer for Maryland's pep band just freaked out: 'They're trying to slow the game down,' he screamed. 'Get up on them, get up on them.
I don't know how I was able to take my 10 year old FWD Toyota and a) pickup friends in DC, b) drive to the game, c) drive home. But it happened. And I will never do it again.
Chance of said Johnson ending up in a woman: 0 percent.
Much love Hogie.
