Tickets: Get through Ticket Master. NYC Alumni Association has secured a block . Use promoo code: Terps
Happy Hour location is being worked on. I will post location when it's finalized.
btw if anyone is being told the block is sold out, wait for it. A new block will be up for sale very shortly (sold out initial block really fast).
Will it work for the Thursday game too?
If we win on Tuesday night we will have similar deal
So were pretty much taking over the building

This is why we have the BEST alumni fans in the world... this is a direct quote we received from the MSG box office regarding next week's NIT tickets:
"You guys have sold out 101...I grabbed everything in 102, and 103 too...basically I'm building you groups of Terps anywhere that we have inventory now"
If you are in need of tickets, more are on their way! #BESTFANS #REDMSG #Terps #NITFinal4 #NYTerps #COMCASTinNYC

Just got this e-mail:
The men's basketball team has advanced to the Semifinals of the NIT at Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 2! The Terrapins will take on the winner of the Virginia-Iowa game to be played tonight.
Maryland has reserved a block of 100 student tickets for the game. Students can purchase tickets for only $10! Tickets will be made available tomorrow Thursday, March 28 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Ticket Office in Comcast Center. Tickets will be available in person on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you have any questions, please call the ticket office at 800-462-TERP.
Strongly considering going but I'll be at work in D.C. tomorrow. Hopefully I can get them on Friday. Don't care if I have to go on the bus, alone! Go Terps!
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
Check Amtrak before the bus. In advance it's usually $49 and drops you right at the Garden.
Yeah, no reason to have a Terps on Tour event in NYC, though....
I am STRONGLY considering this route: train up after work, catch the Terps and a few brews, train back the next morning.
It is the business walk of the biggest, baddest bear in the national park happening upon an abandoned picnic.
will share the details of how ticketing was dealt with for this event on in person basis for any premium board member on Tuesday night. We can only hope those with Sport Management Degrees have a master plan they're not sharing with the rest of us
Unfortunately I can't make it, but I was there the last NIT FF we made, and it was a really fun time (despite the dick kicking). I know the NIT is nothing to "celebrate", but it's certainly as good an excuse as any to head to NYC and have an awesome time. If you've never seen Maryland play at the Garden, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how many Terps are in attendance. I highly recommend you find a way to go.
for cheap accommodations near the Garden I would suggest Hotel Penn. It's as cheap as you'll get in midtown Manhattan while not sharing a bathroom with a meth ring and is right across the street from the Garden.
Someone I know wants to give me her free bus ticket, so I think I'm going to take that one to Penn Station. Isn't that station close to MSG? I remember it being close to Penn Station.
Yeah and I'm not sure how frequently we'll be back there. With our new deal at Barclay's and Turge making the next 10 NCAA tournaments. It could be a long while before we're back.
Fun times and details of pregame happy hour coming out very shortly.
Out of those 10 NCAA appearances he is taking us to the Final Four six times.

they are, but the chances of us a) advancing to the sweet 16 next year and b) having them occur at MSG are what you can determine. Plus I do think if Syracuse is post-season eligible next year the NCAA cooks it for them to be in the East Region.
Where do you see Amtrak for 49? I can't see anything less than 80 one-way.
Bus drops you at Port Authority, but only a few more blocks away.
Short notice like this might be a bit higher. At least a week in advance it's only $49.
Yes. Meant to say Port Authority. Can't go to the semifinal, but def. in for the Final.
Yeah right now tickets are between 82 (middle of the afternoon Regional rail) and 199 (rush hour Acela).
Went to the Garden once. Was standing at the urinal thinking about the Terps .... you know the rest.
cheapest route is Bolt Bus. I think they may even drop off right at Penn Station. Even if Port Authority, it's an 8 block walk to MSG.
Got the tix for the first game. We are taking Bolt bus (have ridden them before with good results) for $89/roundtrip for two people. They pick up at Greenbelt metro and drop you off across the street from MSG. Will go early and take in the auto show before going to the Garden, then depending on what happens in the first game, figure out what to do after that.
