Pic Sigs are for losers.
I guess I'm alone on this one, but I don't think freshman Cleare starts over senior Padgett. Maybe by the end of the year
7 seed....top 4/5 in the ACC.
9/21/2010...RIP Old IMS.
Allen, Stoglin, Layman, Len, and Cleare is like a 5-11 starting lineup. Playing young guys a lot is not necessarily bad, but it helps them when they are around experienced guys. When you have too much youth on the floor they can get lost and you have three freshman, one sophomore in Len, who missed half his freshman year and is a little bit behind the learning curve and Stoglin. Thats a lot of talent, but thats the type that will lose a lot of close games as they learn to do things like play team defense.
However, if you substitute Pe'Shon for Allen, Faust for Layman, and Padge for Cleare you may be looking at 9-7 assuming the ACC is still down a little bit relatively. Perhaps because of the solid youth depth along with guys like Parker, you go 10-6.
Edit: I meant sub Faust for Layman not Stoglin.

How about a win over Kentucky to kick off the season? They are losing probably five first round picks and they didnt reload for next year like they usually do. Probably no Anthony Davis, Marquis Teague, Terence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, or Doron Lamb.
There's a lot of talk that Kidd-Gilchrist is going to stay. They also are still in play for a lot of the top uncommited guys.
Don't know where Teague or Lamb will go but the other 3 are nba players. I agree that next year won't be nearly as scary and we'll have a shot. Teague and Lamb are second round pics at best.
I would bet at least 2 of those Kentucky guys will stay. Teague sucks.
