"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
Agreed, I just don't get these guys that think it's fair to hand a coach chicken shit and expect chicken salad back almost immediately. As some others have said, people need to stop acting like we're some ultra-talented team that some dumb coach (who has won everywhere he's been) is holding back. Sure, he hasn't been perfect but a team with no PG and very sloppy 2/3 guards, soft big man, etc. puts a coach at a great disadvantage. The team was picked sixth preseason and will likely finish right around there. All this in over one's head and thoroughly outcoached stuff is simple hyperbole. Sounds a lot like the Gary will never get past the Sweet 16 crowd. That said, he needs to get us to the tourney next year.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
We have 10 players who are pretty good athletes (some more than others) but not very skilled at the basketball thing. Seems to me that you play to your strength and try to run teams ragged with the press. What have you got to lose? With no point guard, this group isn't going to run a set offense very well.
Alex Len: Put your hand up so the passer knows where to pass it. Catch it in that hand and secure it with the other hand. Keep the ball over you head. Shoot a 10 footer, drop step or spin, or pass out of the double team DIAGONALLY to the guard on the opposite side. If none of these are available, please pass the ball back to the player you received it from.
Coach Turgeon: Please do not run offensive sets where our 7'1" center is setting picks 30 feet from the basket. Also, on defense do not have him helping on ball screens 30 feet from the basket. These reduce him to a tall, awkward power forward.
Jesus tap-dancing Christ ... I'm so frustrated. Coach to your players, not your system.

Championship teams don't press. Pressing is for blowing cupcakes out of the arena and for trying to come back from being down. So no, we should not strive to be a pressing team if we want our team to grow into something competitive. And turge knows more about basketball than most people on this thread combined. And even if you don't agree with that, he at least knows more about his team than anyone else. So for anyone to claim from their internet throne that "its LAUGHABLE that turge did X or did not do Y" is... laughable.
Sometimes a team just comes out and shoots lights out. We've done it a couple times this year too. It didn't happen today. Its no more complicated than that. Stop trying to make it be.
