How much longer does he have at the Citadel? He took over a team with four returning starters and won 10 games, then went 6-24 last year and is off to a 4-15 start. He's been there three years and will likely rack up his 3-straight 20-loss seasons. If this we're a real school he'd be canned after this season, no?
No reason for the thread only that it's something to talk about other than our lack of PG right now.
Really an awful, no-win job especially taking over a somewhat successful team. He will likely be the head coach at an NAIA school shortly, I'd think.
supposedly he took the job because the team was a successful one with returning talent, thinking he'd win early and move up the HC ladder. Instead he lost and my guess is just riding out his contract. I don't think he has a great network in coaching -- he served under his dad, Craig Esherick and Gary Willams. Maybe he goes back to the HS level which might even pay more than NAIA
Spike said on the sports board that he probably has a significantly longer leash. Definitely terrible, but at a school like that I'd think they give him at least a full four-year cycle.
