To play devil's advocate, Crean may be able to keep the wolves at bay by pointing to that class and saying all he needs is a bit more time. Of course, if those guys are like Omari Isreal and Terrell Vinson and gradually slide in the rankings then forget that argument.

Looks like Ole Miss has secured a commitment from Ky Madden a top 30 guard from Arkansas. Apparently he and JOB are tight and there is a rumor that the Ole Miss coaches promised Madden that JOB would commit if he did. Well see....

Well this has been quite the turn of events. Apparently Madden had an in-home with Arkansas last night and now all of the buzz is that he is heading to Arkansas instead of Ole Miss as originally thought. Now I don't know how off base this might be but I have to imagine that helps our case with JOB. It doesn't seem like Arkansas has been in the picture much with O'Bryant. If Madden were to choose Arky or Ole Miss I think it would hurt Ole Miss chances with JOB quite a bit as he doesn't have a close friend and top player heading there with him. Madden was quoted as saying the Ole Miss coaches believed if he went there they could get JOB to follow him making it seem like he was crucial to their chances at O'Bryant. Without Madden in his ear I don't see how Ole Miss is very appealing anymore.
That could leave Miss St., LSU and us. Doing my best not to get my hopes up...

Would Madden possibly take the spot that Antwan Space was being offered at Arkansas?
I know they're not the same position but I have no idea how many spots they have for their 2011 class.

Pretty sure they have room for both. They have two pf and a combo guard already committed. Space and Madden would probably finish out the class.

A guy on the Rivals recruiting board claims people very close to Madden are saying he's headed to Arkansas. That was posted at 6:50 tonight.

I'll take your word for it, but the post that's on the Rivals board right now says "people very close to Ky".

Saw this post by an Arkansas fan; "Could it be that Johnny O isn't ready to be a Rebel?" :eek:
As I said Madden talked a good deal about the being paired with JOB at Ole Miss. Perhaps JOB takes his visit to Maryland, talks to Madden on Monday and says "I don't know where I want to go but I'm not sure about Ole Miss", Madden commits to Arkansas, JOB loses all interest in Ole Miss and commits to _____????

Austin Rivers picked Duke. Terrible news. Other than kevin Durant, he probably is the most gifted scorer I've ever seen on a high school level. Hopefully he's a one and done and can cause Andre Dawkins to transfer and Gbinje to change his mind.
