    He sure as hell said he was related to UCONN Coach Jim Calhoun during the job interview. Otherwise there would have been zero reason for him to be a janitor for a college football team.

    nope, not convenient because I remember at the time thinking it made sense(from the sports perspective)...never watched local Baltimore sports and ignore almost everything Raven related in the media

    my fault: "Gerry" was actually the color guy for us when he did Terps games...Johnny has always been pbp guy as long as I can remember. "Jerry" was kind of a big deal around that time so I could see someone else (not you I guess) naturally thinking there was a connection between the two.

    Not trying to dirty anyones name. I know what he said and I remember when he said it, I thought it was a disgrace that Md would have a commentator doing their games who had an affiliation with Penn St and was proud of it.

    He probably isn't related to JS. My point is, at one time GS said they were. I remember it vividly.

    He was probably trying to make himself look better at the time. Remember this was ~25 years ago when he was first starting out.

    I wasn't trying to start trouble, but report what I remembered.

    Whe you finish this book you wish it was longer. Like a good movie you do not want it to end. It describes a man who has done some great things to help others. How many college football coaches would turn down 3 head coaching opportunities at big-time schools to stay in "Happy Valley". A couple who could not have their own children. Then adopted 6. Not all in infancy. A man who took in foster children and at the same time ran the defense for one of college football's elite teams for 23 years. A kid who never grew up. Yet a person who is so selfless it defies human ego. Everyone reading this should do themselves a moral favor and contribute money to the Second Mile. (...).

    With regards to the media frenzy, if there ever was a case that called for angry mobs with torches and pitchforks, this is it. The entire university is culpable imo - I hope the victims and the the victim's family sue that place right out of existence, just burn it to the freaking ground and salt the earth.

    Jerry Sandusky and Gerry Sandusky are related. At least according to GS who back when he was doing the play by play/commentary for Md Football in the late 80's said they were and how proud he was of his cousin/uncle because of Penn State's success even though PSU was the enemy. This was right around the time JS was interviewing for the open Maryland job.

    If there not related then GS was trying to make himself look better because JS was considered to be hot coaching candidate at he time.

    I am sure there are historical tapes that back this up.

    The Baltimore newscaster (Gerry) and this fucking monster (Jerry) are not related. Jerry Sandusky's son is the director of player personnel for the Cleveland Browns. Did you really ask people to dig thru "audio vaults" so as to prove your silly assertion based on a "memory" from 25 years ago?

    I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?

    Why are these "victims" just now coming forward? 3rd and finally why now? If my son or anyone I was related to was molested why wait 10 years to speak up about it? If it was my kid it would be addressed immediatly. I wouldnt wait 10 years to start making accusations.

  • I seem to recall once upon a time that Muhammad Ali claimed that he was related to Ali Larter. It would only make sense as how else could he have any credibility as a celebrity. I know this happened. Someone dig up the audio
