I do have an idea for something different that I can run at some point since there isn't always a ton of year to year change in these.
Also, tecmo, I'll send you my spreadsheet so you can just adapt that. Probably easier than just starting fresh

I think last year everything fizzled once we got deep into the tournament. For me, anyways, most of the fun was in the draft itself. So I would suggest doing the draft, and at the end having all of us do our formations, strategy, sub patterns, etc., then have a panel of judges select the best 4 teams out of the bunch. Then do a simple playoff amongst those teams with the losing players as the judges.
Much more simple and fun, imo.

Depending on what the rules will be of course, but the draft really takes most of your effort. Submitting tactics, judging other matches, and politicking in general about the awesomeness of your team and the pitfalls of others.
