Twitter just assploded
NEW YORK -- NBA owners and players reached a tentative agreement early Saturday to end the 149-day lockout.
After a secret meeting earlier this week, the sides met for more than 15 hours Friday, working to try to save the season. This handshake deal, however, still must be ratified by both owners and players.
"We've reached a tentative understanding that is subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations, but we're optimistic that will all come to pass and that the NBA season will begin Dec. 25," NBA commissioner David Stern said.
The league plans a 66-game season and aims to open camps Dec. 9.

What are we rooting for with age limit? With Gary we would have wanted the studs out of college as fast as possible because we weren't getting any. We still haven't gotten any one-and-dones with the new regime, but the prospect of it definitely looks brighter.
Also, what effect would raising the age limit have on our chances with the Harrisons? It's really the only thing that matters to me at this point. Would having to play college ball for 2 years increase their chances of coming here because they wouldn't need the fast path to the NBA that Kentucky provides, or would it hurt because they wouldn't be as anxious to start right away (although they'd likely start right away anyway), and be content with sitting behind Kentucky's other stars?

I agree and think they're going to have to be careful about the schedule. I know they want the Heat to play the Lakers twice, including Xmas day, but more important to play in conference than worry about tv ratings.
