I'd say he's just plain insurance since 4/5 of our rotation is Britton/Gonzalez/Tillman/Hunter.
With how much it's been talked about today, I'm starting to think the Orioles don't acquire Blanton.

Sounds like the Reds may have some interest in Dennard Span, but with Stubbs currently actually making contact not sure that will happen. The don't necessarily need him but wouldn't be a bad pickup.

@JonHeymanCBS There's definitely some juice to Pence-Giants talks.
Heyman is such a gift. he does a great job following all of the MLB guys and then just stealing info and acting like he has information. I hate him more than Josh Beckett even.

I have a good feeling that we are going to rape the Orioles in a Blanton trade.
That said, a raping would be getting anything for him.
Also there's no way the Lee rumors are serious, they're just seeing if anyone *Rangers* will drastically overpay for him. As for Pence, I'd be surprised if we don't get rid of him.

Pat, if we got Thome and his spasms back it would be win.
and if Rube manages to get Olt and not have to give too much $$, he has a job for life as far as I am concerned.

Schoop to me is as untouchable as machado. I think he has more power potential and is equally important at 2b or 3b
