I met him a few times, and I remember him in his powder blue Phillies jersey. Terrible news - R.I.P. Hitman. For whoever asked his name, I'm pretty sure it was Dane.

Knew him from the old days at a few tail gates. Terrible news to lose a guy who was so into life and being a part of us here and the larger Terp family.
Please advise of any funeral arrangements. Many times the funeral director has an on line message board to post thoughts and prayers. We ought to fill it up!

yeah I think you met him at Poohs, if not at a tailgate back in the early 2000s in lot one. My favorite memory of him was we were at a wedding on a Saturday night when the terps were down by a huge margin to someone.. ncstate? in the acc tournament during the gilchrist years. anyway, he was so pissed when he checked the score he flailed his hand telling me across the table that the game was over he spilled a pitcher of water over half the table we were at.. and then gilchrist led the charge back and we were doing shots after the final score came through laughing our asses off.

ex-wife, but still close for the kid, and a 4 year old I think? or 5.. very sad.

I will when i get word. I think he went to a game with you once a long time ago and he talked about what a great time it was with your seats being where they were. pretty sure it was 2001

That's terrible. I met him at Pooh's way back when, and also iM'ed with him on aol at some point. Hadn't talked to him in years, but id see him at Byrd probably once a year. Nice guy. Very sad.

This is so sad. As others have said, Hitman, and his famous "Mutley" avatar have been a mainstay of these boards for at least as long as I've been around, and that goes back to 2002.
He will truly be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
