This would be amazing. It would save quite a bit of money getting to Houston and back. I knew some of the AODC contingent was going, didn't realize it was that many though.

I'm working on getting a couple others to commit, hopefully there are enough in the end to get either the second or third planes to depart from DC.

The waitlist for the second plane filled up in like two days, so don't dawdle if you really want to go. We won't know about if we can get a plane to leave from DC for a while, maybe not even until 2014, so make the decision based on the idea that the plane will leave from Houston.

Eh, I don't mind capping a young guy on the brink of playing for the German champs. Especially when the alternative is another call for Chris Wondolowski or some other donkey.

Charlie has seen 12 minutes at Sochaux. Anyway I never bought into the "earning" of a spot on the senior team. I also think club performance as an indicator of potential USMNT performance doesn't always work.

Take one Mr. Fredua Adu. Playing in the Turkish second division and making the GC roster, and promptly saving our asses against Panama and being easily our best player against Mexico in the final. Or the opposite. Guys like Wondo or Twellman who could score at will in MLS (a league I rate, of course, and one miles above the Turkish second division!) and yet be useless at the national level.

All that said, I'd rather see Boyd with the U23s, where he'll be playing a lot these next few months. But I can't argue with seeing what he can do with the big boys.

Tim Ream gets the start against Chelsea - really hoping for good things out of this guy.

Ream had about as good a game as a CB can during a 3 goal loss. One bad mistake but saved by his teammates. None of the goals were his fault, good distribution and passing as usual.

Thought he showed surprisingly good pace. I have no idea what it was supposed to be but he turned and ran well and had provided great cover at times.

Wasn't challenged much in the air which is something I really wanted to see but he definitely made a solid impression.
