OK, figured I'd start a general US thread.
Jozy scored in his debut with AZ against PSV today, with a great run and move around a defender. Very mature, something he wasn't doing in years past...

Also lots of chatter about Chandler not making the Mexico game, but he's committed to the US and personally I'd rather he win that RB job at Nuremberg than fly 8000 miles for a useless friendly. He and his coach have committed for him to play in both of the Sept. games, btw.

I don't see Jurgen as the desert fox.
It would be good for us if Bob gets the Egypt job. I honestly thought he did a good here.
As for Chandler, he's completely unproven. I guess we could get excited about have two burners as our outside backs if he and Lichaj are the future.

I'm going up to the game vs Mexico in Philly with 15 friends on Wednesday. Anybody have any idea how early tailgating usually opens up for something like this?

It's not that bad of a job. Granted, they are in a hole right now for ACON qualifying, but they've won three in a row. It's the World Cup qualification that trips them up constantly, although with CAF's crazy system who knows how it will play out this time around.

I'm excited for the future. But a coach can only do so much, players still have to play. Real positive is he won't give a shit about the politics like Bradley did...

Reading that interview, I wonder how much Klinsmann will be able to help our guys' situation abroad, both in influence and reputation. Let's face it - Bob was a good manager but had no real street cred outside of MLS. I can't help but think that with Klinsmann, there will be far better lines of communication between club and country.
