Miguel Tejada playing 3rd base today at extended spring. Got first hit, a double. Was DH first game and 3B next

Or reimold to 1b.
If they trade Avery, signing jones is a must. That said, I'd prefer to sign jones and see what Avery has to offer next year.

well, a lot depends on Machado. Are they planning on bringing him around this time next year or not? If so, your lineup is ok (though I think Avery might be wishful thinking too).

If you don't make any other moves, sure. Ideally you bring in a 3B and have Betemit be a UTIL guy.

Machado is a wildcard. If you think he'll be ready for a mid-season call-up you could roll with Betemit/Flaherty for the first couple months in theory.

Hardy to 3B would be my thinking. They definitely see Machado as a SS.

He will have another 350IP by then. If he doesn't regain velocity or ends up missing time with a shoulder, things change. I expect him to rebound.
