I'm optimistic. I think the day off without travel is going to do us a world of good. We get 2/3 and a sweep is not out of the question.

I hope the Pierre rumors aren't true. There's really no need for him. I'd rather have Davis in right and Betemit DH vs. RHP and Ford in RF and Davis DH vs. LHP. Chavez is capable of being our late inning defensive replacement.

This...I don't think Pierre has the arm for right and McLouth seems more comfortable in left. Plus, Betemit would be the odd man out if the Orioles acquire Pierre and I'm not sure

wont lie, looking at the yankees schedule to end of the season is pretty disheartening. We have to take advantage of the scrub teams we play the rest of the season in a huge way.

Pierre isn't exciting but his .304/.346/lol@hisSLG line this year (+speed) wouldn't look too bad in the lineup for a month.
I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.

I agree with you but the major difference in the schedule is 3 games. O's have an extra series vs Tampa, they have it vs Toronto. The other differences are Oakland at home vs road and Seattle vs Minnesota.
So I agree with you that the O's just need to get through this week then take care of business in the next 13.

We are going to need one of those stretches where our starting pitcher single-handily wins 5 or so of our remaining games. Like 8 IP 1 ER type outings.

@ oak 1-2
@ sea 2-1
@ bos 2-1
Vs tor 3-1
Vs bos 2-1
12-7 is definitely realistic and would give us 90 wins heading into the final series at Tampa. I still like our playoff chances. Also i could see them losing the series this week vs Tampa but sweeping one against the Sox which would still make 12-7 realistic.
