Took Roch over 90 minutes to get to the ballpark from Sykesville. He said there are 5 people in the pressbox and that it opened to the media almost an hour ago. Manager's office empty also.

Yup.
This is how Zrebiec wrote it up:
In Wednesday’s seventh inning, Yunel Escobar hit a grounder that should have been easily scooped up. But Adams shifted the wrong way, breaking to his right when the ball was to his left, and he never had a chance at it.
“I didn’t see it off the bat. He kind of pulled off the ball and … I just didn’t see it.”
He barely even broke on the ball and he was definitely looking to his right when bat met ball.

Showalter said he had at least three guys that he wasn't sure would make it to the ballpark in time for the 12:35 start.
"We've got three I've heard about so far from different parts of Baltimore trying to get in," he said.
The club put Thursday's starting pitcher Tommy Hunter up at a downtown hotel on Wednesday night in anticipation of the mess.
Showalter said it took him and "hour and 15 minutes" to get to the park from northern Baltimore County and "I thought I was leaving way early."
Several Toronto Blue Jays left the team bus in stopped traffic to walk the rest of the way to the stadium.

I was never on the "Matt Weiters sux/bust" bandwagon.
I was on the "Mark Reynold sux" train when he was hitting .200 with no power and awful D. I'm glad to be wrong about that.
I did think Matt lacked confidence (both behind the plate and at bat)...but I never thought that he was a bust like others did.
Of all the tings wrong with the O's, MW is near the bottom.

What kind of OPS would a top-tier catcher have in this era? .825? He will get there.

But he's pretty much the best def catcher in the game now....and assuming that he can keep that title and improve slightly on this ops (800-ish?)....I'd take that in a heartbeat.....screw OH.

Considering the decline in offense throughout baseball, the fact that his OPS is going up is very impressive.

Yeah, if he's an .810 OPS with 20-25 homers and throws out 40% of runners - no other full time catchers except Miguel Montero are even close - that's an All-Star.
