  • I'd consider trading him for the exclusive rights to all of Ted Williams chriogenically (sp?) frozen sperm.

I mean, yeah, we'd continue to blow in the short term but in 2035, 8 Ted Williams in the field everybody!

The worst fielding team in baseball history (Teddy wasn't around for his glove). This would definitely kill all the sabr-geeks.

  • Before today's game, Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette indicated that Dylan Bundy is likely to stay with Single-A Delmarva at least through five more starts. Bundy is expected to go four innings in his next two starts and then move to five-inning outings. Duquette said Bundy is expected to remain a Shorebird at least through his first three five-inning outings.

  • How much longer until Pomeranz takes Gregg's spot in the bullpen? I know I asked this before, but any chance they start to stretch him out? Also, are we that low-stocked on legit prospects at Frederick?

Putting Machado and Schoop at Bowie pretty much guaranteed that Frederick would be a prospect wasteland until Bundy and possibly others get promoted.

  • If Pomeranz continues to impress, I wouldn't mind getting a look at him later in the season, but I think there are probably several relievers ahead of him if Gregg goes- Berken, Phillips, Eveland to name a couple.

  • I'm not too concerned about the last arm in the bullpen. You need someone to pitch in the blowouts, and they are paying him a lot of money. He is not complete garbage - I'd rather him get some innings, pitch well, and maybe the Os can unload him later this summer for some AA filler. Better than nothing. Horrible signing by MacFail, but not his fault for taking the money. And most importantly, I will always like Gregg for throwing at Big Papi and then getting in his face. Sometimes it is good to have a big meathead on your team ...

  • Assuming that Matusz continues to show signs of improvement, I think Gregg survives until Britton is ready to go.

Gregg is not complete garbage? When did that happen? No one is going to give up anything of value to get Kevin Gregg on their team. Would be nice but let's give up on that idea.

I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?

I mean he sucks, clearly, and he never should have been signed as a closer, but I think his "stuff" over the last 3-4 years is major league quality. He had the one horrible outing this year and he had a mostly bad year last year, but I think he is at least as good as a Jason Berken for getting through a few innings in a 5-run game, etc.

if he ran off a few scoreless innings I don't think it impossible to think we could get something for him if we ate his salary.

Weird but true: Fog out has suspended the Carolina-Lynchburg game today. Consecutive wild pitches caused concern due to lack of visibility.

  • Are we avoiding talking about Bundy's start tonight since he gave up his first hit and only struck out 4?

    Up to 17 innings now - 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 walks, 25 strikeouts.

Hmm. Send him down to Aberdeen. Orioles rush and ruin another arm....
