I see some great role players on this team, still need another star or two to add to wall... Harrison Barnes can fix that if he turns out well. But we gotta keep wall from falling in to bad habits because he is only star

Not really sure why we were booing him. I mean, I know why but I don't understand it.
It seemed like the game changed when Sundiata Gaines came in towards the end of the first half and changed the defensive tone. It was basically uphill from there. NJ is a better team in a lot of areas, with a better coach...even without Lopez.
Oh well, like others said, more PPBs!

I dont get the Barnes love. He seems like another Marvin Williams to me, does alot of things well but nothing great.

I don't understand the obsession with Humphries, he was a decent player before Kim K and he still is a decent player. He'd probably be the 2nd best big on the Wiz.

I like Barnes because he can score. But I don't know if it translates to NBA game. So if he turns out to be Marvin Williams but with better offense, that's what I want at the SF position.
But I'd like to grab a pau gasol type superstar like the lakers did, we have the ammo to do it. Blatche, McGee, young, veselly, and any of the ndaiye, booker, seraphim, etc as filler

Barnes is not a consistent enough shooter to warrant where he's going to be picked. He has a lot of polish to his game, but he puts up too many complete turd games from the outside for my likingl

Thats why I was hoping before the game he could get a 2:1 Assist/Turnover ratio...
Also why we need to put a STUD next to him. Last thing I want to see is John Wall turn in to a chucker. With around 30 seconds tonight, he drove in to near quadruple coverage for a layup... Unacceptable for a point guard to think like that. he should have waited for his guys to catch up. If he's too fast for his own brain, then Flip needs to do something about it ASAP

ThE likable players include Mack. Singleton I might like for the defensive intensity.
Other than that, not much to like. Though if Sam cassel and his large balls suit up, I'd like him too

Lol I honestly dont care at all but its hilarious to me that somebody downvoted a statement of fact
As for Wall, he looks more explosive than ever. Its just that when your surrounded by garbage teammates and haven't established a legit jumper its pretty easy for a team to take away the drive, no matter how explosive you are. He starts kicking it out, and his teammates start hitting some shots (the tricky part) and thingsll open up.
He just needs to slow down and stop forcing it he'll be fine.

Bingo.
The Wizards need a good player in this draft (Jeremy Lamb?). Plus they need an allstar next to Wall either by free agent or trade. Add Jordan Crawford to the list above. He can shoot you in and out of the same game.
To Hogie's question, McGee is definitely a lottery pick right now. If Vesely can go 6th, McGee should go at least that high right now.
Also add Turiaf to the likable players list. Drew two charges, got some boards, I like him.

This year is about two things: improving draft position (yes, even with the ping-pong uncertainty) and figuring out who the potentially valuable role players going forward will be. If a couple out of Seraphim, Singleton, Mack and Booker turn out to be decent, cheap role players to go with Wall and future draftees and FAs, that would be great. Young, Crawford, Blatche and McGee need to be showcased and shopped, if they're worth anything, though probably only McGee is worth much.
