Interesting fact, this is the first Opening Day in which Wrigley has had ivy growing on the walls. Usually it takes until May or so for it to grow in.

Good start to the season for my boys, cant wait for tomorrow to see more major league action

Excited about Cardinals/Brewers on opening weekend. Scored some good seats for Friday from a co-worker, nose bleeds for Saturday. Both teams played some Intense baseball last year, and you could tell neither club much liked the other.

I can tolerate the Cardinals, and Cardinals fans in general. La Russa is a whole other story.

Pitched very well. Sucks there is zero run support.

No shame in getting 2 hit by one of the best pitchers in baseball. The only problem is you get the feeling we'll have similar performances against much worse pitchers as well.

Cards offense without pujols looks fine to me... Not being a homer, but I think if we stay healthy, we win the central relatively easily. But odds that Beltran, Berkman, and freese all play 150+ games is 1%, hence my prediction that reds come in 1st, cards 2nd (and probably a wild card), then brewers and pirates. Cubs and Astros are not contending, though Chicago does have some talented players, just not enough.
