With the season getting started this week, thought I'd restart our NL Central thread.
I know most people are picking the Cards even without Pujols, but I think its pretty close among the top 3 teams.
I'll go:
Brewers
Reds
Cardinals
Pirates
Cubs
Astros

Losing Madson is big, but I still like the Reds to win it. Tought first month, would be great to get off to hot start.

The Pirates start off pretty rough too. Open with the Phillies, take a trip out west for the Dodgers, Giants and Dbacks right after that, then back home for the Cards and Rockies, then down to Atlanta. I predict pain.

i think the reds bounce back this year
as sugar mentioned, the madson injury hurts a bunch, but the pitching has to be just not terrible and hopefully the offense carries us again

Also, here are the FanGraphs org rankings for the NL Central do far. I expect the Brewers to be around 10-13 and the Cardinals to be around 6-9.

Would definitely be very unexpected great news. I think the Reds are like the Nats, they have a big boost in cable money coming up soon.

Mat Gamel really scares me. And not in a good way. The Crew have enough talent on their team to keep them in contention for most of the season, but I think they will fade down the stretch.
