Pens go up 2-1 on a Niskanen power play goal. Time was expiring, but still, that's 3 PP goals in their first two games without Sid and after being one of the worst teams in hockey on the PP last year.

Pens going to OT again tonight. They have a penalty carrying over to the extra period to start 4 on 3. They've got one point in the bag so they may as well go ahead and get the other one. ha!

edit to add: the Pens lose in the shoot-out.

He took a real cheapshot the night before, and he actually dropped the gloves because of it. He was lucky to only get a 2 minute roughing penalty because he could have been kicked out for not having his jersey tied down. He tested the knee, but he didn't play much after that shot.
