Even Pierre "I coached Mario Lemieux" McGuire said it was clean. There are such things as momentum and force that cause body positions to shift and feet to not permanently stay attached to ice. I won't hold it against you though since I assume physics aren't in the curriculum in western PA.

Schenn did everything you are supposed to do. He slowed himself down by gliding (no strides the last few steps).
Ahsam is going to get 10 games or something stupid for that. More the follow up punch after you already killed the guy.

Schenn didn't launch into the hit like Ovechkin. Not even close. His feet left the ice basically as residual from making contact.
