Not your fault - at the time he was actually better. The difference is that Crosby kept working and adding dimensions to his game, and Ovechkin didn't. Now it's questionable whether Alex is even the best player in his own division.

I think the problem is that OV is just pressing way too much...he has no patience...everything is off by a half second.
He is still throwing his body around, and playing better overall...but when you are a goal scorer and you are on a dry spell, you will be called out for underachieving.
I think tomorrow's night game is going to be tell tale sign of the season. Will the continue to progress after Monday night or do they sit back and relax?
And CVD...and yes I am a Crosby hater, but I do not see him long for this league. He is going to get hit in the head again, and I unfortunately believe it will be another Lindros. I want him around to hate on, but the concussion he got is going to have long term effects.

Alex looks miserable out there. I want young, loose Ovie back.
I still say our only hope to win anything of meaning is a new coach. I'd rather lose enough to make it happen now than slog through another season and embarrassment in the playoffs.

Yeah, I'm not a real big fan of the whole "just fire the coach" argument, but at this point it's pretty clear there are huge issues on this team that center around BB.

I wish they fired him after the Montreal series. It seems like this is the make or break year for the nucleus of the team and I hate the idea of breaking it up because one coach couldn't make it work.

As much hate as he gets, I would like to see Semin get a chance with another coach. There is no chance we will get the equivalent in return and I would be willing to give him one more chance. However, I think Semin goes before BB goes.

obviously just a rumor, but word around ketler was that GMGM told semin during the offseason that if he didnt show up to play night in night out by december he would be traded to any team willing to take him

Bruce has been outcoached in nearly every playoff series he's ever been in. Even Torts in the YR series that we won, we were just that much more talented. Montreal and Tampa absolutely slattered Bruce strategically. You have to assume that he's behaving like we saw him on 24/7 last year. No wonder the team has no soul anymore.
