Making the Champions League, and thus getting the money from the group stages, is more important than the possibility of Nasri leaving on a free in the summer. If Arsenal gets dumped into the Europa League at this stage, that's a lot of (likely) budgeted cash that won't be coming in

I've seen a lot of Bayern Munich matches and he's usually better than that. He needs service because he doesn't run at defenders that well but he can score off of junk and distributes well. He's just so strong that he gets time in the box that other few attackers have.

Liverpool is high up there in the coefficient rankings, but given Arsenal are even higher in the rankings, I do not see Liverpool getting that spot. And since Liverpool did not qualify for the Champions League at all, I think it's more likely the highest coefficient ranked team that qualified and was eliminated is put back in (Arsenal if they do not go through, Copenhagen if Arsenal goes through.)

That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. So the Fenerbache deal is a boon for Arsenal, they're through to the knockouts today no matter what happens. They need it to recover from injuries and defections. I really feel for Arsenal fans, if anybody knows what it's like to see your favorite club spinning out of control, it's a Liverpool fan.
