Djourou comes on for the reckless Gibbs at halftime, saves a goal, then limps off injured after 9 minutes. Typical. Teenager Jenkinson on at left back now and Arsenal with only one more sub left.

Ugly indeed. Midfielders struggling to string together two passes. Udinese taking the game to us now. Only a matter of time until one of our backs and Chesney take each other out and gift Udinese the equalizer.

i know im an outsider here, but im more than happy with kos and verms and sagna. its LB and Dmid that scare me. plus once rvp goes out we have no one to score goals. and now that cesc is gone we have no one to provide service.

Totally agree on this one. Do we honestly expect Gibbs to last this whole season? And we're expecting Song to bring the teeth to our midfield every single match of consequence, the drop off between Song and Frimpong is biiiiiiiiig (and I like the prospects of Frimpong, but the stage is too new for him at this position). Don't even mention Diaby, either.

We pretty much agree here. Koscielny is physical and promising, and Vermaelen and Sagna are pretty solid. Gibbs will be a problem, I think. Yes, and when RVP goes down again, I hate the idea of relying on Chamakh and B52 for that finishing touch. I think Ramsey and Wilshire will prove to be capable enough providing service.

no. clichy was part of the problem. not saying gibbs is the answer, but clichy was a big part of the defensive issues. he wore out his welcome.

Can any of you Gooners remember the last time we scored n a set piece? Was it Eduardo against Burnley in 2008? Mattheu Flamini against Bradford in 2005? I honestly expect nothing from a set piece unless its van Persie from a good angle a few yards outside the box.
