Why in the world is Colin Balester here? Everyone in the world knew he would shit the bed. He's one of the worst pitchers I have ever seen. I don't even want him in the minors. He shouldn't even be in professional baseball at any level.
Good job winning a series against the Phillies guys. I guess you forgot there were five weeks left after that. Fucking losers.

It really seems like FOREVER since he was drafted and was a hot shot young prospect.
There's no way I would skip college to play in the minors for 5 years.

it's amazing he's only 23 years old and in '08 he was the 28th best prospect in baseball. nobody should be calling him a bust at this point, and over on WNFF there are stats that compare his minor league numbers to one Adrian Gonzalez (no joke).
and that is an interesting debate ... going to college for free vs. playing baseball via bus trips.

I was the one who brought up the Adrian Gonzalez comparisons 2 years ago. When researching him, there was an eery similarity between the two. Of course the comparison started to veer off course last year. By age 23, Gonzalez was entrenched in the big leagues and had a .960 OPS in AAA.

Plan A) move werth to CF and let morse play RF and then ankiel/nix/gomes man LF
or
Plan B) LF morse, CF ankiel, RF werth

Davey said when Marrero came up he was going to play first base every day and Morse was going to move back to LF.
I love it. Morse is a disaster in LF, but so is the Nix/Gomes duo. We're wasting Marrero's time to call him up and not get him 4-5 ABs every night.
I'm very excited to see him. This lineup needs a fresh face in the worst way.

i'm not kidding when i say we may not lose a game the rest of the year with AdrianGonzalez v.2.0. out there. our line-up looks so sexy tonight. hopefully detwiler remains his cyborg self and continues to pitch well and not fuck this one up.
