yeah lol at being worried about a bad start by Gio (not saying anyone on here is) ... that guy is ready for the season to start.
it's just the offense i am losing sleep over. too early to panic about the injuries, just worry about some holes in the line-up.

worries about storen and laroche will hopefully be put to rest ... sounds like both are doing well and morse said again today he feels great, he's going to stay mum on the subject and is waiting the green light go.

Would we be willing to deal Lannan right now with CMW's injury? Or feel safe with having Detwiler/Gorzelanny (god no) to start until CMW is back?

Depends on the return. Since we're not going to get anything for him, I say keep him and push Gorzo further away from any sort of relevant role.

i think gorzo gets bumped off roster (if detwiler remains in pen).
if you can trade lannan for an OF bat, you do it.

If they cut Gorzo before April, I believe, they only owe him $500k. I think he's a goner, no matter what they do with Lannan.
I'd still deal Lannan for a decent return. Wang's injury is totally overblown. He'll miss like two starts. We'll have other injuries, too, of course. But if someone like Stammen has to make 5-10 starts, I don't think that's the end of the world.
I want Detwiler starting soon anyway.
If we traded Lannan and cut Gorzo, what would the depth chart look like?
Stras/Gio/Zim2/Ejax/Wang/Detwiler/Stammen/Maya?
Does anyone know if Brad Myers is projected to make the Yankees? I want him back in the system.

of course i'm going to remain cautious ... we still need to see how LaRoche responds to his original injury (on top of his current one), with Morse - any kind of tear scares me - even if he says he feels great and regarding Storen, he's a pitcher, you don't want to hear arm injuries.
but it seems like they are playing it off to just "shit happens, let's be cautious, better be safe than sorry as it's spring training."

It's Steinberg's job to do what he's doing. If the Redskins turn it around, he'll post fun shit. If the Nats are as advertised, he'll have plenty of good material, etc.
I do think he seems to take too much joy in posting all the negative shit he does, though. It does get kind of annoying, because he'll often post a bunch of negative shit on a day where good stuff is happening.
But overall, he's just posting stuff that's relevant to D.C. sports and a lot of it is negative. Win games and he'll have plenty of flowers and sunshine to post, and he will.

Exactly. If he wasn't writing about this stuff, he wouldn't be writing. It'd be like Bud in Kill Bill. The editor's office is probably just like the club manager's, too!
