They're delusional if they do, but Kobe was really good last night and its pretty amazing what he's doing this year.
He's in his 16th (holy shit that makes me feel old) season, and he's shooting his highest FG %, 3rd highest 3pt %, and is leading the league in scoring. His PER is above his career average, and he's in the top 10 in the league in offensive efficiency. His stats had really been slipping in recent years, but he has been really really good this year.
Edit: And I am definitely not a Kobe fan.

Kobe has been really good this season, but he absolutely sucked in the last game. He just hit 4 consecutive shots in the 4th quarter.

Lebron is averaging 26.5 ppg at 55% FG !! Not all dunks, mind you, he is also shooting 40% from 3... and yeah 8.1 rpg and 7 apg. Hard to argue KD is having the better season even beyond the stats.

OK, I don't follow the NBA at all, and understand this is just about salary dump. Can anyone tell me if this trade even makes sense on any level other than money? Is one guy from Cleveland really worth that much?
The Memphis Grizzlies have completed a multiplayer trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers, slicing more than $6 million off their payroll to get under the luxury tax threshold.
Memphis sent big man Marreese Speights, guard Wayne Ellington, guard Josh Selby and a future first-round draft pick to the Cavs for forward Jon Leuer.
