Of course Bud Selig would try a move like this. The countdown has already started for MLB's death and Bud Selig is 100% to blame for all of this. He inherited the most popular sport, but now its an afterthought to most under 50 year olds.

Selig sucks, but there's nothing he could have done to prevent football from overtaking baseball in popularity.

Ignore the fact that the Dodgers just sold for 2B, TV revenues are skyrocketing or that attendance was up last year despite the Dodger and Met situations.

BTW, pretty sure there's millions of people that play fantasy baseball and I don't think most of them are old fogeys.
