30 teams, 30 owners, 18 rounds. Pretty straightforward.
Your roster must consist of the following:
-8 positional players (C,1B,2B,3B,SS,OF,OF,OF)
-2 bench/utility/DH players
-full starting rotation (5 SP)
-3 bullpen pitchers
Draft as if you're trying to build the best team for the NEXT 5 YEARS. You may draft any player in the major and minor league system. NO PLAYERS FROM THE 2011 MLB DRAFT. NO INTERNATIONAL GUYS who may be coming over (Yu Darvish etc)
You will have approx. TWO (2) HOURS once the previous pick is in to make your own selection. You will be skipped over to the next draftee but can make a selection anytime following the passing of your deadline
We can be a little lenient on time in between picks once or twice, but if you know you're up soon and won't be around PM me a list of players you want in order of preference. I don't suspect we'll have too many holdups the first few rounds but don't push the envelope. I think prime drafting hours of 10 am to 10 pm is a fair slot so make sure you can pick or have selections available in that timeframe. Otherwise GTFO.
Also, BWES requests that you bold all selections. To do so, enclose the text you want bolded with [a] and [/a] but substitute "a" with "b"
Draft style is snake (30th pick of the round picks 1st the next round, and works its way back)
In the first round, select both a TEAM and your first player

What's the criteria we're going to use to gauge the team? Likelihood of success over the next 5 years? And to confirm we can pick any major or minor league player but not anyone from this year's draft?

Pretty sure we were doing 3-4 hours last go round. Agree with the PM someone concept if you are in the next 5-8 picks and won't be around though.
