Kornheiser vs Wilbon

  • brooheel2 said...

meh. he was a total POS in that episode but many people were. like that clown leonard shapiro. the dude's body wasnt even cold yet and he had already written a column basically LOLing at him for getting shot.

but ive long since forgiven wilbon (and kornheiser to a lesser extent); both are too entertaining to hold a grudge.

Maybe...what I didn't like about Wilbon is that he did not back off that column at all even after the case was closed. That's the kind of guy he is, it appears.

I'm not sure he wanted anyone's forgiveness.

    • Wilbon sucks dirty ass, he's always sucked dirty ass, and he will always suck dirty ass.

Kornheiser had a funky intro tune for his old radio show before he went national that had some deep, saucy, funky groove goin' with white chick singers repeating

      " , ,Tony, Tony , , Tony, Tony , , Tony , , Tony ...."

You could tell that the white chicks weren't too, too funky, barely funky enough for the tune, but that the rythm section had some deep, brutha type funk sounds in it. This for a middle-aged balding jewish guy. I always thought that was kind of comical when I heard it. lol

I once caddied for them. Wilbon is a blow hard and TK is hilarious to be around. They both suck, shot about 88. TK is such a terrible tipper.

I missed this thread but I love this post.

        • Seriously, if the Taylor thing is why people don't like Wilbon they need to chill. Sean's own lawyer was saying he thought it had something to do with his past. If people close to him are saying that, why shouldn't the writers comment on it? Now, there are other reason not to like Wilbon, but that's not one of them.

It was just the last straw.

...and like I said, he didn't back off when that turned out not to be the case.

Speculating about it and pontificating about it in a column are two different things.

I rarely could understand his assessment of things. It's almost like he was being obtuse for the hell of it.

            • I prefer them a lot more when Wilbon comes onto Tony's show. PTI is a bit too scripted for my liking, even though nobody does it better than them. For radio, on the other hand, they're fantastic and more true to their actual person.
