People are fucking assholes. He is not the first rich kid to get an athletic scholarship. He is not getting financial aid. WTF?

Yeah, if he earns the scholarship then good for him. He shouldn't be denied that right because he has a famous father.

I dont even think its a race thing more than his occupation. Noone got on Jordan's kids for getting scholarships or Austin rivers at Duke.
Looks like people want to hammer P Diddy because its P Diddy. The kid earned his scholarship, was recruited by other high major schools so it isnt like he is getting this spot because of his name. The writer here doesnt seem ot understand a need base scholarship vs. an athletic scholarship. Outside of this writer who is complaining?

So much fail in that article aside from what's already been stated. There's no comparison between Romeo and this kid, Romeo was not a D1 recruit and was only given a ship to land Demar DeRozen. Combs is a legit D1 kid who had a bunch of other D1 offers.

Anyone who's complaining at UCLA about this had a problem with Kevin Love who's dad played in NBA and uncle was in Beach Boys?

Hogie is 10000% right. I honestly think the main reason he is going to UCLA is because they think Diddy will be a huge donor in years to come and not because he is an all american. His offer list isnt bad but lets be real, its not that good.

the outrage shouldn't be over puffy combs' kid getting a scholarship to ucla. the outrage should be that it costs $55,000 to go to ucla for one year.
also, i wish maryland recruited more athletes with famous AND rich dads, not just estranged and broke famous dads.

That's why I'm 100% in favor of the Redskins moving their headquarters to Maryland. I also think we're just about to start seeing the benefits of the Ravens being in Baltimore. Their players' sons only started living in Maryland in 1996 and beyond. That has to give at least a slight boost to our local recruiting pool.

Not going to argue that one. I'm guessing the majority of players have homes in the city they play in and either the state they grew up in or in Florida/Arizona/Texas/California - and they spend the off season in the warm states.

Screw having NFL players as our donors. I want some random dude from UMD to start a fortune 500 company and become a 100 million - billionaire. Thats how you become filthy rich. Kevin Plank is a good start we just need one or two dudes to make it big on the stock market.
