To be fair, Sandusky seems like an expert at "getting off".

  • From all accounts , Anendola had embarrassed himself numerous times by asking a lot of questions that he didnt quite know what the answers would be

And it is going to be incredible when Sandusky testifies.

  • and it would be nice to list some good twitter follows for the trial

A good summary of what happened yesterday (but they left out the part about Sandusky sneakily putting his penis in the kids mouth while showering pukeface) and how terrible Anendola is doing.

  • I know nothing about any negotiations that might have taken place regarding any possible plea deals, but after only 1.5 days of testimony, if any plea deal of any nature was offered, I'm shocked Sandusky didn't take it and I have a feeling he's regretting it right about now.

He's going to hang. The attempt by Amendola to discredit the witnesses who are testifying about horribly traumatic events by continually hammering home, "don't you stand to make financial gain" is going to get absolutely zero traction (if not negatively impact his client) in the eyes of the jury.

Frankly, Penn State doesn't have enough money to pay these guys to compensate them for what Sandusky did while he was employed by PSU.

Plus he's making no attempt to disprove that the acts actually happened.

I like that Amendola has tried to minimize events or try to paint them in a positive light only to have both witnesses call him out for being a dick.

I can totally see their point because, you know, McQueary has TONS to gain by making stuff up so that he can be center stage and forever linked to this disgusting circus. /sarcasm

I wonder what they were saying after the vicitim's testimonies. And how the hell can he even have any supporters now?

While I would normally agree, copping a plea would have pretty much meant a life sentence at Sandusky's age. They probably figured it would be no worse to roll the dice.

But isn't this a case where you know that graphic testimony is going to drastically impact a jury?

If he's a liar he should play the damned lottery. What are the odds that you randomly pick someone to accuse as having sex with a kid in the shower and have it turn out that they have a long history of pedophilia which included forcing sex on children in the shower?

Clearly, after he lied, all the other victims came forward with lies as well to cash in. Duh!!!

Perjury trial forthcoming so the the Sandusky supporters can waste more time and money.

I'm guessing the entire PSU community is just hoping Paterno's name comes up as little as possible throughout all of this.

The odds may actually be pretty good in Central PA. whistling

Jerry Sandusky trial: I wish I’d paid more attention to one young man’s pain - Hard Hits - The Washington Post

  • Now it's getting interesting...

The attorney general’s office provided these new details in a response to a previous Schultz petition on the same day NBC News reported that Penn State had uncovered and shared a series of emails between Schultz and ousted university President Graham Spanier regarding Sandusky.

In the emails, NBC reported, it was suggested it would be “humane” to not involve outside authorities after Sandusky was seen showering with a boy in Penn State’s football building.

Penn State has said the emails were discovered as part of former FBI director Louis Freeh’s investigation into the Sandusky scandal.

Prosecutors will now want to know why they weren’t shared earlier. If a deliberate effort was made by current or former Penn State officials not to turn over files, Cohen said, it could amount to a criminal conspiracy.

“It becomes a matter of the email trail,” Cohen said. “Who’s fingerprints were on it and who was involved in the decision.”

Sandusky's defense counsel has to be disbarred after this, right? I'm half joking here but how do you let this go to trial? Sandusky is as good as done and as good as dead once he hits the prison block.

I bet he wishes he called in sick the day Sandusky first called.

at his age he is toast either way...better to take a shot with a jury trial since the outcome isn't certain...maybe the prosecution screws up or maybe the jurors go against the facts or only finds him guilty on some of the lesser charges
