I just get sick and tired of a guy who is NOT a good NBA player becoming a household name while guys who actually deserve the props, such as John Wall or Kobe Bryant for that matter, are pushed to page 5. Respect in sports has to be earned and it takes more than a bunch of miracle comebacks against crappy teams to earn respect. Or at least it should.

how dumb is this post?
I think John Wall will be a very good player someday, but why does he "deserve" anything? because he was a highly rated recruit who had a good season at Kentucky and can run fast as he dribbles?
If anything, shouldn't we root for kids who the corrupt system missed and haven't been coddled and spoiled (and ruined) over the years? Guys like Curry from Davidson, some of the Butler players and this kid? Kids who somewhat paid their dues and learned fundamentals and team basketball? The obsession with "athletic ability" being solely defined by how high you can jump is tiresome. The goal is to win games (and sell tickets and get eyeballs watching on tv).
