Good grief. I've never been one to support the "act like you've been there" theory. If you want to go batshit crazy after a win, god speed. That's what life's all about. If my Rangers win tonight, I'm going to walk into work tomorrow morning and french kiss my doorman. Everything right and nothing wrong with celebrating good times. Ravens fans do it all the time. The city almost shuts down after a regular season win against Pitt. I love it. That's what makes them such great fans. I'm fairly certain if Baltimore had a hockey team, this city would be electric today. I hope it would be. Why not? Isn't that what great fans do? (Assuming Ward didn't miss the net by 20 yards wide left.)

I got beyond blacked out at Cornerstone celebrating the Wings knocking out the Ducks in '09, and that was only the semifinals. You celebrate the big wins, recuperate, and gear up for the next soul-grinding series.
Sucks that Baltimorons will never get to experience the joy and agony of their hometown NHL team playoff adventures, but such is life.

I don't get your shtick...you're from Detroit? ...but you root for Washington (and Detroit teams?)...and you hate Baltimore? The only thing I know about you is that you're a brother... Help us out...you really make no fucking sense.
as far as Caps...I'm not a hockey fan at all but was happy to see the Caps beat a team from Boston.

I root for DC and mainly poke fun at Baltimore, but I like that city too. I probably go to as many O's games as Nats games. I like the contrast that they both offer, and what each city brings to the table.
And yes, as a Detroiter I too hate Boston.

You're actually dead wrong about this. Ask anybody in the TC administration about how hard they get pawned when it comes to donations from Baltimore County. If you count Howard County and Anne Arundel County in Metropolitan Baltimore, then yes, the Terps do have a solid base there. But it kills (and perplexes) the TC how little support there is from Baltimore County.
I felt like I should have issued an amber alert for myself, just in case

It would be nice if they did ANYTHING in addition to asking for money, and holding events where you're constantly bothered for money. I live in Baltimore City, and me and all my friends who all root for the school are completely turned off at how we're hit with random-ass phone calls(every few days for me). That's literally the only outreach that I've ever gotten from the school, and I'm somone who university could hold up as successful. I don't have a ton of money to give away, but I'd be more than happy to support our AD if I knew it wasn't just going to be wasted

I never understood people donating to their schools. Why would you donate to a school that ripped you off of thousands of dollars, then to top it off they are asking you for money despite the fact that they extracted $50000-$100000 from you for a worthless degree?
