I can take a little comfort in the fact that Duke had to sweat it out, but it actually is better for us that they won RPI-wise I would imagine.

I wonder if K would have risked fouling coming out of a Miami timeout, especially if Larkin had the ball. You risk 3 FTs instead of just a 3 point shot attempt.

K would've had Duke foul if Miami called the TO. Miami's average age on the court was 32, if there's any team that doesn't need to call timeout it's Miami.

Yeah, you figure it's a risk, but even from Miami's POV, even if they foul you and it's two, it still stops the clock again.. there was like 25 seconds left right?
Larranga definitely has to call the TO there to go over all scenarios.

Yeah but you could get lucky and attempt the jack up shot when it looks like contact is coming like DOY said.

Ummm why is everyone slurping Duke right now with Kelly back? They won by 3 points at home on a revenge game with Kelly being unconcious. I come away more impressed with Miami, Reggie Johnson gave them NOTHING and they still had a chance there

I don't agree with Bilas or Rose at all about Dook being back. Sure Kelly helps but they had to hold on to win at home with an insane performance from Kelly. Without him, Miami blows them out again. They constantly get crushed on the boards and their interior defense is suspect.

I meant that I'm glad they didn't win by 10 and get hyped as amazing, had to face a scare and the love was tempered a bit. But my main point is that at least our RPI is helped by this.
