Really what they should do is turn it into a skills competition with the winners getting huge donations to charities of their choice. I would actually watch that over the glorified flag football game that is the present incarnation of the Pro Bowl.

I would love to see them do something like "NFL's Strongest Man" to see who can bench the most, and do some of those other strongman events. Wouldn't it be awesome to see how much a guy like Ngata or Julius Peppers could bench or lift over their heads? They could do something similar with the speedsters and have them run 100m dash and the winner could be crowned "NFL's Fastest Man". Hell, they could even do longest/fastest throw, longest field goal, longest punt, etc. And yeah, some kind of cash reward for the winner.
People are always debating who the strongest/fastest guy in the NFL is or who has the biggest arm. I'd tune in to watch that. And I'd bet the players would be more willing to do those events than play in a game.
I remember as a kid watching some sort of long pass competition between Elway, Cunningham, Kelly and a couple other guys. Not sure if that was part of the pro bowl or not.
