One of the worst regrets of my life to this day is not going in '92 to Minneapolis. Figure out a way to go if you're a Ravens fan. It will haunt you forever if you don't.
I want to go so bad, but I have a wedding/honeymoon to pay for so it's going to be really hard to swing.
Dear Mr. RL,
Wow…the Ravens are going to the Super Bowl!
A special random lottery was conducted this week to select a limited number of PSL Owners who would receive the option to purchase 2 tickets for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, LA. We are sorry to report that your account was not selected to receive this opportunity.
All 26,000 PSL owner accounts were included in the lottery for the limited number of available tickets. We wish we could accommodate all fans that would like to attend but that is just not possible due to the limited number of tickets we receive from the NFL. However, we have established a partnership with PrimeSport, the official travel partner of the Baltimore Ravens, who can assist fans who want to attend Super Bowl XLVII.
Welp, so much for that plan
You do realize that we're doing the first week of Mardi Gras a week early (i.e., this week) just for the Super Bowl, right? This means SB week will be sandwiched between the 2 weeks of MG.
The next 3 wks are gonna be insane even by NOLA standards...
tell whoever that something came up and you will pay for their second wedding.
Or what he's doing in you.
Go stay in Houma, then drive up if hotels are a concern.
My guest bedroom's empty next week...
In the past I've flown to Jackson, MS and driven down. Its about a 2.5 hour drive and Southwest has direct flights from BWI
Biloxi isn't a terrible drive to New Orleans.
No. This is jtp's doing. He's kept me around for his bizarre HOF resume.
Flying in to Ft Walton Beach, FL (4 hours to NO) for only $200 R/T
Rental car was dirt cheap as well
Was hoping you'd post. What's your plan for tickets?
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Im already set on tickets. For people looking for rooms, try airbnb.com You basically rent out private homes/apartments. There are still some good deals in NO in the Garden District and Uptown. Staying in the French Quarter is a shitshow anyway, IMO. You can always cab/trolley in to the Quarter to get your fix

This is going to get expensive, and it may end up in a divorce. I'm going though. F it.
hit the psl ticket lottery. no where the F to fly into? jackson is all booked up through southwest.
get the fuck out of here...you did?
Fly into Pensacalo and drive.
If you don't mind a stop in Atlanta Biloxi/gulfport is closer.
Do I stay with a richer guy with a nice family and amazing electronics, who happens to be a Duke fan...or with a creepy older man who's turned the tables, participated in a MMMMMF, plays touch football against the neighborhood boys, and writes awkward hack-and-slash fantasy adventures on the side?
Ravaged butthole it is!

my Dad got picked in the lottery. Now how do I convince him that A) I'm his favorite child B) Father-Son bonding is worth more than the thousands of dollars he could make by selling them and enjoying the game from the couch.
Do you think tickets on game day are available? I've been hit and miss for sugar bowls - got burned once.
thanks for the heads up. booked to Pensacola.
Likely fake on the street - worth the extra money and piece of mind to go through Stubhub oir a local broker
I'm going to be down there this weekend for a bachelor party so ill miss the SB by a week.
There certainly are fakes, but I wouldn't say "likely". Stubhub or anther broker is the safest, but scalpers on cheaper. Don't be stupid and think you got a great deal for half of what they are going for online.
Make sure you know what the tickets are like.
Here's a pic, and a vid from last year about the security features for Indy. Will be similar this year. I'm sure some local stations will have infromation about the security features in the next week or so. Also, there are three different face values on the upper level tickets, so don't let that through you off.
WISH-TV Anchor David Barris walks you through the security features on this year's Super Bowl tickets.
