This thread would totally be 30 pages by now if the score was reversed. Sad.
they have a good offense and Tuel is (supposed to be) a good QB. They also have a very good WR, they were improving continually under Paul Wulff who I thought was treated a little unfairly to be fired.
Leach will have them bowling soon.
More importantly, Wazoo sold a ton of tickets and UMD didn't.
Yes, but if they go 2-10, and we have no way of knowing how this season will shake out for anyone yet, then you will see a similar decline in ticket sales too.
I too thought Wulff was doing a decent job. I don't think he gets fired unless they knew Leach would take the job.
Looking at their schedule, 2-10 isn't real likely. 4-8 maybe, but those people have been starved for a competitive team for years, and Leach will make it interesting and that's all those folks are interested in.
I agree generally speaking. I don't have a crystal ball though. Nothing is impossible. If they do somehow have a similar season to what MD experienced last year then you will see similar results in ticket sales even with Leach. That's my point. Leach is a good hire, and will be part of the solution but is not a complete solution by himself.
They went 4-8 last year, what are you talking about?
I'm talking about the fact that went 4-8 last year and lost two games by three points, mainly without their starting QB. 6-6 gets you bowling so I'm talking about the fact that they're vastly improved (5 wins in 3 years prior), have a lot of returning players (44 lettermen and 14 starters) and were close to bowling. Where are we disagreeing?
