So JDawg picked Minnesota and StewieTerp picked Green Bay in the board pool this week. Yahoo seems to have chosen StewieTerp as the champion already, which makes no sense. I mean, GB's gonna win, but if they somehow lose you can't penalize JDawg for picking a team who lost earlier in the week.

That was a donk of a switch at the last minute.

i went with the packers
To the packer pickers, who are you looking at using next week? Im tempted to switch to the Packers this week and take the biggest fave prob all year but Im holding them for next week. I have the Bears as my pick for this week right now.
Most likely the chargers, maybe the redskins. It's so hard to pass up a 15 point favorite in survivor. Those don't happen too often.
was down to 2, opponent took Minny, I just need GB to win. woot
The dreaded N/A has already eliminated someone in the only pool I'm left in for the second week in a row. I can't fathom paying for a league and then not making a pick.
Right now it's somewhat plausible that all ten remaining in the keegs/varian pool could be eliminated this week (if GB, SD and CHI all lose).
31 people left in ours from 336 to start
I don't have the obvious GB or Houston available so I'll be going with *gulp* Norv and the Chargers
That's most likely my pick too, but I absolutely hate it. I Might do a late change to Seattle.
I'm the only one in my league that's used both Green Bay and Houston. This coming week could be really awesome, or more likely really terrible.
I made a spreadsheet yesterday. Thought you might like to have a copy. I've copied the NFL schedule, and I've entered the current (as of today) Sagarin ratings. I've also entered all the teams I've picked so far. The spreadsheet will show you estimated point spread as of now (based on Sagarin rating + home field) for each game, will grey out all the teams you've already picked, and it has a graduated highlight format on each game so that games with the best spread are green and the worst spread are red. In addition, in the bottom row, it tells you how many games are left for each week (after deducting the teams you've already picked) that have a 7+ point spread, so if you want to make your picks for the rest of the year, you can pick the harder weeks first.
I've already put my picks for the rest of the season in at the bottom of the first sheet, plus in the pending column on the second sheet. Those pending picks have no effect on the calculations. For each week, you can enter the Sagarin ratings and update the Sagarin home field advantage factor, and put in your new pick. The sheet will automatically update.
When you download, don't try to open in Google Docs. There's some VB script in there that'll cause Google Docs to choke. Make sure you download and open in Excel. Tell it you want to enable editing and macros (don't worry, no viruses, I promise).
BTW, if you notice that I've already lost a few games this year, we keep everyone in and just tabulate record at the end of the year.
Holy hell. You have too much time on your hands.
But this is pretty awesome.
It only took about an hour. The NFL schedule was copied and pasted. I didn't type every game in. The only manual entry was the Sagarin ratings. As has been stated repeatedly on other threads, VLOOKUP is the answer to all your Excel problems.
That was my pick and why I took the Packers
Barely squeaked by last week with Chicago.
Already used: Philadelphia, San Diego, New Orleans, Baltimore, New York Giants, Atlanta, Green Bay, Chicago
Do we take Houston at home vs. Buffalo this week, or save them for Week 11 vs. Jacksonville? Or possibly even Week 15 vs. the Colts? Looking ahead, that week looks like a complete clusterfuck...but we don't have a lot of great options for Week 11 either, and the bright side of Week 15 is that there is literally nothing that stands out as an obvious choice, even if entries had all 32 teams to choose from. New Orleans/Tampa and Houston/Indy are as close as it comes that week (we already used NO), and they aren't exactly gigantic slam dunks.
Our other option this week is Detroit at Jacksonville. I'm leaning that way. That leaves Houston on the board for Week 11, when we'd otherwise be looking at Cincinnati @ KC or Cowboys vs. Cleveland.

Rolling with Houston this week. I try not to even look ahead because I seem to lose every time I do that.
Phillllip def tried in the first half but thankfully the fightin' Norvs didn't let us down
Hated picking San Diego, so glad I survived.
