Highly doubt it.
Intentionally? No. But I've easily sliced a ball 40 yards before on a 150 yard shot!
Hooking that is definitely an easier shot to control and to hit than cutting it. distance control might be as tough as turning the ball that much. I had little doubt bubba was going to throw that one on or near the green. I guarantee you if you gave bubba the choice between hitting oostie's ball from 235 back in the rough or his from 140 in the trees but with a clear path out, he would have picked his. He never hits a straight ball anyway.
You have no idea how happy yesterday made me. You see I once "discovered" Bubba Watson while watching the US Open Qualifier at Woodmont several years ago. I'd never heard of him but I watched as he pulled out a 2 iron or something like that and hit the coolest shot I have ever seen in my life, by far.
Ball took off like it had been fired out of a cannon, traveled about 20 feet off the ground at 1,0000 MPH for about 200 yards before gracefulling rising as it drew to the right. My golf buddies are well aware of the story and I've been following him ever since.

It's 2012. WHY THE #%&*& DON'T WE HAVE SHOT-TRACKERS AT EVERY COURSE?!
How cool would it be to see the trajectory of that ball? I honestly think he
It's The Masters. It isn't 2012 there.

True. And to prove it, the redneck geezers that run the show down there will cut TV coverage to an hour each day next year. Then we can watch announcers and "color analysts" interview each other for hours while the match is on with no coverage. Why they persist in not showing live action, especially in the early rounds is beyond me. I am sure that the Golf Channel, ESPN or someone would cover it if they were allowed.

Well it's getting better. It wasn't so long ago that TV coverage didn't even show the front 9.

It's only the best run tournament in the world. 2012 isn't there? Their website and ipad/iphone apps are ridiculous. Cutting edge stuff. They limit the tv coverage to keep you wanting more. It works too.
The pgatour shot tracker is so f-ed up half the time it's useless anyway.
That's cause no women are involved, amirite?!
